Sandra Ann Palmore (1945–2025)
Sandra Ann Palmore, 80, of Denison, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on May 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Her passing leaves a deep and unfillable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Born on March 3, 1945, in Worcester, Massachusetts, to James and Thelma Lyles, Sandra was raised with a strong sense of faith, family, and resilience. She attended Durant High School and later studied at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she was a proud member of the Rodeo Club. After settling in Denison, she dedicated much of her life to working with several respected local physicians, earning the admiration of colleagues and patients alike for her warmth, professionalism, and quiet compassion.
In later years, Sandra and her beloved husband, JD Palmore, owned and operated a local business together, creating cherished memories and lasting friendships.
Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. A woman of Christian faith, she looked forward with peace to the day she would be reunited with her Savior. That day has come, and while we grieve her absence, we rejoice in her reunion in Heaven with JD and her parents.
She is survived by her loving children: son Greg Denison and his wife Danna, and daughter Carla Chester. She was endlessly proud of her grandchildren: Zachary Denison, Collin "Boo" Denison, Jordan Chester, Brittyn Chester, Caden Chester, and Ashlyn Chester. Her joy grew even greater with the arrival of her great-grandchildren: Hayes, Swayze, and Rowyn.
Sandra is also survived by her sister, Linda Roundtree of Durant; her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Steve Anna Lyles of Durant; her nieces, Tracey White and Angie Carroll of Durant; her nephews, Jeff Presley of Keller, Texas, and Brandon Lyles, of Bonham, Texas; her great-nieces, Elisabeth Presley and Everly Lyles and great-nephews, Parker Presley, Peyton Presley and Lincoln Lyles.
Sandra's beauty, strength, kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered always. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and in every heart that carries her memory.
A graveside service for family and close friends is pending and will be announced in the coming days. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Sandra's memory.
