Santana Gossard

Santana Gossard of Browns Mills, NJ passed away on April 6, 2023 at the age of 36.
Santana was born in Junction City, Kansas. She competed in multiple beauty pageants, won several titles including being crowned the Kansas State World Of Babies Queen in 1987.
In her younger years Santana enjoyed jazz, tap, ballet classes & being an Altar Server at St. Ann's Church in Browns Mill, NJ. She graduated from Pemberton Township High School in 2004 where she was active in the dance club and FBLA. She was the State Chapters FBLA Secretary. Santana was also a member of the VFW post 6590 Jr Girls Unit in Cookstown, NJ where she was crowned NJ State VFW Poppy Queen in 2002.
After high school, Santana went on to obtain her Computer Administration Degree, as well as her CNA.
Most recently, she was a manager at Burger King in Browns Mills.
In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, coloring, going to the beach, going to the shooting range, crafting, spending time with family/friends and rescuing animals; especially pit bulls. Santana also loved baking custom cakes & trying any dinner recipe she could find.
Santana was a hard worker and caring friend, always thinking of others first. Her sense of humor was unmatched, along with her contagious smile and laugh. She was a fierce woman- holding strong to her beliefs, always ready to protect everyone around her. Anyone who knew Santana, were touched by her kindness. Even when ill, she tried to find the silver lining and persevere.
Santana was the beloved daughter of John and Deborah (nee Lozowski) Gossard.
Dear sister of Ariana Gossard(Mark Burton) and Preston Gossard.
Devoted girlfriend of Arthur Hughes since 2006.
Loving & Fun Aunt to her three nieces, Anaira, Amellia, Athena Gossard and one nephew Armani Gossard.
Caring Dog Mom to her precious pit bull DD.
She is also survived by her two uncles Thomas Gossard Jr (NJ), Jack Gossard(Ohio), her Aunt Tina Gossard (Ohio) & a host of Cousins and close friends that she considered family.
She was proceeded in death by her maternal grandparents Anthony & Sonia Lozowski, paternal grandparents Thomas & Martha Gossard, Aunt Giordana Cox, Uncle Henry Gossard, Arthur Hughes' mother Marcia Cook and her dogs Bishop, Hera, Shelby and Brandy.
Santana's life would seem too short to many, but those who where blessed to be touched by her throughout her life understand that her existence and the imprint she left on everyone's hearts exceeded the quality of time that she stayed here
The family would like to thank the Critical Care Unit at Capital Health Hopewell for their compassionate care during Santana's stay. They'd also like to thank all of their family and friends for their support and prayers.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 11 AM - 12:30 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, 371 Lakehurst Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 PM. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, 217 Odd Fellows Road, Pemberton, NJ 08068.
