Stephen "Steve" John Neuberger left this temporary earthly home at age 71 and entered his eternal heavenly home on November 5, 2022. After two open heart surgeries, his heart needed rest. He was born on March 27, 1951, to Stanley and Lorraine Neuberger in Janesville, WI. The family moved to Monroe, WI, where he and his older sister, Vic, and younger brother, Tim, were raised.
Steve met the love of his life, Sue (Susan, Susie), in high school, and they married on July 20, 1973. Next July they would have celebrated their 50th anniversary. Steve spent most of his career selling Commercial Business Insurance for R&R Insurance Company. He joined the firm in its infancy in 1979 when the entire company could fit around the boardroom table and stayed to see it grow into the robust and successful company it is today.
His children simply knew him as a God-fearing dad, coach, and supportive husband. He leaves behind his adoring bride, Sue; son, Bryan (Aniela), and their four children Trystan (13), Arabella (6), Wyatt (5), and Gabriella (1) in Manitowoc, WI; daughter, Wendy (Kurt), and daughters Kamryn (10), Adelyn (9), and Josslyn (5) in Green Bay, WI; and son, Sean (Shana), with daughters McKenna (5) and Teagan (2) in Laguna Niguel, CA.
He served on the Menomonee Falls Chamber of Commerce, on various committees at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and was Chairman of the Board of Directors at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School. He enjoyed coaching his boys' baseball and basketball teams and rarely missed any of Wendy's Accompany of Kids (AOK) performances. In his earlier years, he enjoyed playing golf and softball. His favorite pastimes were getting together with friends and especially pontoon rides and fun at the cottage with family.
Steve was the spiritual guide and leader for the family and made not just attending, but being active in church a priority. He was a strong advocate and supporter of Christian education and was grateful that his children are now carrying on that legacy.
You are welcome to attend his victory celebration on Saturday, November 19 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church (N84W15252 Menomonee Ave., Menomonee Falls, WI). Visitation will be from 10-11:30 am, with a victory service at 11:30 am and luncheon on-site afterward.
In lieu of flowers or plants, we ask you to consider giving to Christian education at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School, https://www.kmlhs.org/donate-page/ Bethlehem Lutheran https://secure.myvanco.com/L-Z4N6/home or to a charity of your choice in Steve's name.
