Teresa Brewton Thompson was born, on July 29, 1969, the late Elease Brewton, in Spartanburg, SC. She was educated in Newark, New Jersey schools. Teresa worked for many years in healthcare as a CNA.
Teresa enjoyed playing bingo and being on her tablet. She was a very loving and caring individual. Tereas loved music and favorite her artist was Keith Sweat. Her favorite NBA team was the Golden State Warriors and she was partial to the color was pink.
She was preceded in death, along with her mother, by adopted mother, Emma Jean Jessie; grandfather, Henry Brewton; grandmother, Margaret McCoy Brewton; uncle, Howard "Buddy" Brewton; aunt, Katie Sue Nelson.
Left to cherish her memory are son, Brandon (Elizabeth) Mathis of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Dominque (Tevin Thompson-Powell) Brewton of Spartanburg, SC; husband, Robert Thompson; sister, Cynthia Brewton of Spartanburg, SC; aunts, Betty Penn and Dorothy Duncan both of Spartanburg, SC; uncles, Jermaine Brewton of Boiling Springs, SC, Terry (Teresa Buckson) Brewton of Wellford, SC, and James Brewton of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Keeli M. Davis, Monique Hess, Malia Hess, and Vashawn Hess; great grandchild, Noel Hardin; nieces, Antonae Porter and Quashonda Westley; nephew, Quintin Brewton; great nephew, AceYon Simmons; cousins, Dewayne Penn, Sumeka Brewton, Carolyn Penn, Angela (Maurice) Phillips, Latasha Penn, and Elaine Brewton; and host of other relatives and friends.
On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, Teresa transitioned at Physical Rehab & Wellness Center of Spartanburg. Her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of her family and
