IRISH, Terry Lee – of Birch Run, age 68, died Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at her residence. Honoring Terry's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Terry was born July 23, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Norman and Anna (Ruether) Matzke. She grew up in Birch Run, Michigan and graduated from Birch Run High School with the class of 1972. Terry received her Nursing Degree from Delta College. She married her soul mate Ronald London and he preceded her in death. Terry then married Jerry Irish and he also preceded her in death. Prior to her retirement in 2010, she worked for the Saginaw Veteran Hospital as a Medical Supply Technician with 37 years of service. Terry enjoyed hunting morel mushrooms, petoskey stones, and loved rock n roll music. She was an avid supporter of Veterans and their causes. Terry generously donated to the Ronald McDonald House and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. However, her family was her greatest joy in life, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children, Leon (Shawn) Morford, Rhonda London-McDowell, Renee London; Grandchildren, Alex Nugent, James Nugent, Forest McDowell, Marshall McDowell, Casandra Morford, Austin Morford, Lucas Morford, Shelby Morford; 2 Great-Grandchildren; Siblings, James Matzke, Kelly Matzke-Bachman, Kenneth McCoy, Paula Jo (Dave) Fries, Paul John (June) Matzke, Walter Matzke; several nieces and nephews; Best Friends, Jenie Dunn-Eyer, Ann Fedor, and Billy McRae.
