Theresa G. (Doucet) Drouin, 84, of Nashua, widow of Eugene H. "Red" Drouin, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, May 3, 2025 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Hudson on May 16, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Gabrielle (Lachance) Doucet. Educated in Hudson schools, Terry was a graduate of Alvirne High School class of 1959.
Terry worked at the Hunt Community for twenty years as a dietary supervisor. She also cleaned homes for some prominent Nashua families.
In her leisure time, Terry enjoyed bingo, traveling, watching crime tv and taking long walks. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved attending their many sporting events. She hated to miss an event and she was their biggest cheerleader. Terry was an avid Boston Celtics fan and enjoyed watching games on TV. Earlier in her life, Terry played guitar in a band with her sisters. They sang on radio station WSMN in Nashua and the former Lone Star Ranch in Merrimack.
Terry and her husband "Red" were married on July 30, 1961 and shared 39 years together until his passing on July 30, 2000,
Members of her family include a son, Kevin E. Drouin and his significant other of 30 years, Tabitha; a daughter, Tammie L. Jarry and her husband Brad; eight grandchildren, Kurtis Drouin, Katie Shepard, Alexandria Hoskins, Owen Hoskins, Trevor Drouin, Payton Jarry, Savannah Drouin and Sophia Jarry; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Drouin, Alea Drouin and Myla Robillard; also nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, Theresa was predeceased by her sisters, Jeanne I. Doucet and Lorraine I. Guay.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Friday, May 9th from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John III Parish (Infant Jesus Church) 121 Allds Street, Nashua, Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson.
