Thomas Allen Gerber

Thomas Allen Gerber, 68, of Springport, IN, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, peacefully after an extended illness at IU Health Ball memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. Tom was born in Fort Wayne, IN, on July 28, 1957, a son of Marilyn K. (Rahrer) Gerber and the late Rodney Lee Gerber. He was a 1975 graduate of Northwood High School, went on to continue his education studying pre-med and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. Tom formerly worked as a Quality Engineer and was the loving husband of Lois A. (Baldridge) Gerber who he happily married on June 9, 1984. Tom was a quiet and private person, who preferred the comforts of home and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed fishing, shooting, gardening, cooking, baking and finding new recipes to teach his grandchildren. He is survived by his mother Marilyn Gerber, wife Lois Gerber, 2 sons; Matthew Gerber, Christopher Gerber (Tiffany), 2 brothers; Timothy Gerber (Raylene), Ted Gerber (Sheri), 1 sister; Teresa Hunt (Kris), and 3 grandchildren; Noah, Willow, and Jameson. Tom was preceded in death by his father Rodney Gerber. Per Tom's request there will be no public services at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Farmland Chapel.
