Mr. Timmeth Lee Grays "Tim" passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Covenant HealthCare Cooper in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 63 years. He was born to Glenzo Moore and Maggie Lee Grays on February 4, 1962, in Saginaw, Michigan.
Tim was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan, where he attended Saginaw Public Schools and graduated from Saginaw High School, Class of 1980. Tim served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the American Legion Brown & Vernon Post 312. Tim earned an Associate Degree from Delta College and later became a Certified Peer Recovery Coach. He had been a member of the PEER 360 Recovery Alliance Board of Directors since 2018. Tim began his walk with the Lord as a member of New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and subsequently joined Faith Harvest Church under the leadership of Bishop Ronald Chipp. He participated actively in church and valued both his faith and family.
Throughout his journey, Tim touched countless lives with his gentle spirit and heart devoted to service. His kindness was felt by family, friends, and all who crossed his path; Tim left a legacy of compassion, encouragement, and unwavering support. Those who knew Tim found in him a source of wisdom and calm, someone willing to listen, uplift, and share laughter in times of joy and comfort in moments of need.
Tim leaves to cherish loving memories his devoted wife, best friend and the love of his life, Lillie Williams-Grays; children: Tayna Baten, Maurice (Juanita) Parker, Marcus Parker, Sherina Turner, and Donald Ray Turner Jr; grandchildren, Aisha and Useni Turner, and Senqavion Williams; great-grandchildren, Melanie and Madison Pratt; siblings, Jacqueline Nash, Billy (Fashonta) Erwin, Stacy Erwin, and DeMarkius Erwin, Denise (Gregory) Townsend, Darryl (Cassandra) Moore, L. Fallasha Erwin, Beatrice King, Yvonne Flowers, Brenda and Belinda Erwin; uncle, Y.T. Grays; aunts, Ida Mae, Loddree. Barbara, Virginia, Hubert, Alalene, and Mary; brothers-in-law, Darren Nash, Michael Oakes, and Freddie (Darcel) Williams; sisters-in-law, Ora (Larry) McBride, Detra Williams, and Joyce Ann Anderson; many other relatives and friends; special friends, Lathan Wilson, Thomas Davis, Pat, Michael, Carl, Ezekiel, and L.C.
Tim was preceded by his parents, James and Maggie Lee Erwin, and Glenzo Moore; son, Kadeem Lee Baten; brothers, Dennis James Gray, Michael Moore, and James Erwin Jr.; sisters, Sherry Diane Erwin and Cassandra Ann Moore.
