William Michael Ford

FORD, William Michael – of Davison, MI, age 73, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County, in Bill's memory.

Bill was born in Hazel Park, MI on June 27, 1952, son of the late Donald and Lillian (Kangas) Ford. He was a graduate of Hazel Park High School, Class of 1970, where he built lifelong friendships and laid the foundation for a life defined by dedication, kindness, and quiet strength. On August 15, 1980, he married the love of his life, Cindy Kovacik, beginning a partnership filled with devotion, laughter, and unwavering support. Bill found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time on the golf course, playing baseball and racquetball, and embracing the peaceful beauty of nature through bird watching and feeding the birds in his yard. Whether engaging in friendly competition or enjoying a quiet morning outdoors, Bill appreciated every moment and made the most of it. Above all, he will be remembered for his steady presence, his warm heart, and the love he shared so freely with family and friends. His memory will live on in the countless lives he touched and in the simple joys he cherished each day.

Bill is survived by his wife, Cindy Ford; son, Eric Ford; sister, Patti Raht; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Ford and Lillian Edwards; son, Jason Ford; brother, David Ford and brother-in-law, David Raht.
