William "Billy" Andrew Johnson, Jr., 66, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away on August 16, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on March 28, 1959, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of William Andrew Johnson, Sr., and Myrtle Johnson.
At the age of 17, Billy answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Army. During his time of service, he was stationed in Germany and faithfully fulfilled his duties with honor. Following his military service, Billy worked as a machine operator at Captive-Aire, where he remained until his retirement. Billy enjoyed watching Nebraska Huskers football and was known by many as a talented "shade tree" mechanic, always willing to lend a hand when someone needed help with their car.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Greg Johnson. He is survived by his devoted wife of more than 34 years, Jean Johnson (Wiedel); Matt Wiedel, Mike Wiedel, and David Wiedel; brother, Dale Johnson; sisters, Terry Tegder and husband Paul, and Michele Adkins and husband Kurt; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish Hall. Arrangements are under the care of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of William, please visit our Tree Store.
