William Welch Obituary
Dad was hard-working and dedicated. He spent many hours fixing up his home and
working around the farm. Although dad may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored. He was a man of kindness, generosity and honesty, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Dad's hobbies and interests helped define who he was. He enjoyed watching The Ohio State Buckeyes, often spending his weekends fixing up the house and sitting by a fire with his wife, Jennifer. His love for building and being Mr. Fix-it was something he shared with his family, leaving a mark on us that will never fade.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer, children Megan and Josh, son-in-law, Devante Muldrow, grandson Tatum Muldrow, brothers Don (Sandy) Welch and Jeff (Kathy) Welch, Kurtis Welch, sisters Cindi (Bob) Killen, Celia (Todd) Henry, and Mother Bennie Tallman, sister-in-law Cathy (Larry) Stinson, 25 nieces and nephews, and 46 great nieces and nephews, as well as many friends and family who will miss him dearly.
He was proceeded in death by his father Kenneth Welch, stepfather James Tallman. His aunts Barbara Noah, Billie Hamic, and Billie Jean Ramsey. His father-in-law Joseph Sabo, mother-in-law Matilda (Fogarsy) Sabo and his nephews Caleb Killen and Cory Welch. Along with his uncle Kelly Hatfield and great niece Zoe Chambers-Welch.
We take comfort in knowing that dad's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
A viewing on October 9, 2025, from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 Hill Rd. North, Pickerington, Ohio 43147. With a service on October 10, 2025, 1pm at the funeral home.
