On February 15, 2024, holding hands with her loving daughter, Stephany and sister Sherry, Kerian Purcell Reigel also known as Grammy, left us after a fierce battle with cancer.
A third generation Floridian and proud class of 1965 Mainland High School alumnus, Kerian was born on August 6, 1947. She was president of the Pep Club, a member of the Student Council and active on the reunion committee. Kerian was multi-talented, an excellent seamstress, knitter, beader and crafter in general. When Kerian took her first home economics class she was so proficient at sewing that she was allowed to work on any sewing project she wanted. When the time came, she made her own beautiful wedding dress. She would try any craft that sparked her interest and quickly become an expert. She loved to make gifts for friends and family. Kerian's second love was sharing, be it a baby blanket that she made or a special biscotti from the farmer's market, sharing was her love language. She will live on in our hearts and memories with the beautiful art that she created for us.
Over the years Kerian held jobs at Howards Ice Cream, Florida Bank & Trust Company, Security First Federal and as a Real Estate Broker. She attended Daytona Beach Community College.
Kerian is reunited with her mother Viola Fowler, Ed Millis, and Father-in-Law Earl Reigel. Life is fleeting, be gracious to others, practice gratitude, eat sweets and laugh often - Kerian did.
Kerian leaves behind daughter Stephany, grandchildren Gryphon and Phoenix, siblings Bill, Dede, Sherry, William Waller and Peggy Krause, as well as, sister and brother-in-law Pauli and Dennis, and nephew Mitchell, along with countless boxes of unfinished knitting, sewing, and beading projects and all manner of crafts, corks, baubles and trinkets. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in her home March 15th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pink Eraser Project Michele Young, 8525 Given Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45243 - pinkeraserproject.org.

I remember working with Kerian at Security 1st Federal back in the late eighties and early nineties. She believed in me and treated me with professional courtesy and friendliness. Kerian assisted me to improve upon myself and not to settle.

She was as lovely as she was genuine and made my brother and I feel like family. She will always be remembered and missed

We went to different high school, but she loved being with new people and we thought of her as one of us - Father Lopez 1965 class. In our later years, she introduced me to Humming Bird Cake and I always think of her when I make it. We also played Trivia together and she would knit or do something while coming up with answers. I´m most grateful to have been with her at her Christmas Open House to reminisce and give a hug. RIP sweet friend!
