Aiden David Obituary
Aiden James David, age 19, was tragically taken on Thursday, May 1. Aiden was born in Columbus, Ohio, to Jim David and Gretchen Specht, preceded in death by grandmother Marie Specht and Grandfather James Richard David, Sr.. He is survived by his parents Gretchen Specht and James David, with his fiancée Mollie Bills, sisters Margaret and Addy Specht, step-sister, Olivia and step-brother, Brendan Bills, grandparents Debra and Randy Warner, Samuel Specht, and great-grandmother Carolyn Warner. Also survived by aunt Stacy Thomsen (Matt), Connie Norman, Jinnie Chase (Joe), Kimberly Loris (Tim), Samantha Rice (Chris) and uncle Jonathan Specht (Kendall), survived by cousins, Kenzie and Landon Thomsen, Aaron Chase, Paige and Preston Loris, Isabelle and Madeline Dobrin, Cash, Hazel and Ellis Specht and Aidan and Jack Rice.
Aiden graduated from Pickerington North in 2024 and attended Ohio State University, studying Physical Therapy. He was dedicated to fitness and competed in national weightlifting competitions, earning awards across the country.
Aiden's heart belonged to his family and close friends. He was a doting big brother. His sisters, his parents and dog Ace were his world. He was a loyal, trustworthy friend to all. Aiden would drop everything to help someone in need. He had a witty sense of humor and could truly light up a room. His grin wasn't reserved, it went from ear-to-ear. He didn't hesitate to smile, wave, laugh, love, and show the world that he loved everyone. He never hesitated to tell someone he loved them.
He loved to travel with his family. Many cherished moments were had at Fripp Island, SC, the family cabins in Hocking County (Big Hill), and PA. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and swimming. He even spent time visiting Turkey with family.
His last day was truly a gift. It was spent in one of Ohio's most majestic locations, Old Man's Cave. He gazed at a magnificent sunset, basking in nature, surrounded by love and friendship.
Friends may honor Aiden's life Thursday, May 8, at Dwayne Spence, 650 West Waterloo Street, Canal Winchester, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. following the calling hours.
