Alexandra T. Mattson

Alexandra Taylor Mattson, 29, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at her home in Coventry. On April 7, 1992 in Warwick, RI, Alex was born the daughter of Virginia (Lamoureux) Mattson of Coventry and the late Robert K. Mattson who passed in 2019.
Alexandra will be remembered as a fun-loving person, who was jovial, smart, and strong willed. She was an advocate and loved all animals. She enjoyed kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding, a supporter for U.S. military troops and was very patriotic. She wanted to join the military but chose to attend college right after graduating from Coventry High School. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island and went on to receive her master's degree from Boston University. She was currently attending Duke University and was pursuing a career as a Nurse Anesthetist. She would have been a graduate of 2023 if so. Alex enjoyed playing soccer in high school and for Bruno United FC, RI Premier Soccer.
Besides her mother Virginia Mattson; she is survived by her paternal grandmother Theresa Mattson, three siblings: Brent R. Mattson (Courtney) of Coventry, Jennifer Bousquet (Robert) of East Greenwich, RI and Hillary Mattson of Warwick, RI; two nephews: Logan Mattson of Coventry, RI and Jeremiah Faine of Warwick RI; three nieces Haley and Sydney Sabetta of East Greenwich, and Addison Faine of Warwick; boyfriend Brandon D'Amico of Coventry, RI and several loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, February 5 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI immediately followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Masks must be worn at all times.
