Ashley Marie Castor Keller, lovingly known as Ashley, passed away on June 14, 2025, at the age of 39. Born on March 18, 1986, in Salisbury, MD, she was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. Throughout her life, Ashley radiated kindness and intelligence.
Ashley's journey began as the cherished daughter of LaRoy N. Castor, III, from Reston, VA, and Annalee M. Castor, from Salisbury, MD. She is the sister of Sophia Castor, of Washington, DC. Ashley's role as a mother to her beloved son, Nicholas M. Keller of Chapel Hill, NC, brought her so much joy. In addition to her parents, sister, and son she leaves behind her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Virgina Castor of Warminster, PA; aunts, Lisa Alverez and her husband Manny Alverez of Granite Bay, CA and Laura Castor of Tromsø, Norway; uncles Stephen Castor and his wife Jennifer Castor of Washington, DC, and Michael Cantwell and his wife Donna Cantwell of Salisbury, MD; cousins Alex Alvarez, Chase and Willow Castor.
Her academic pursuits led her to the halls of Virginia Tech and the Northern Virginia Community College, where she expanded her knowledge and prepared for a life of service and contribution. Ashley's professional career was marked by a variety of roles in Northern Virginia and Chapel Hill, NC.
An avid runner, Ashley found joy in the daily routine of a run. She would return from her runs with a bright and beautiful smile on her face.
The time she was able to spend with her son was her most cherished activity. She was so proud of him.
Ashley was an angel with a pure heart and beautiful soul. As we mourn her loss we know she is in a more beautiful place feeling the love and protection of her brother Michael. A funeral service was held on Monday, June 23, 2025, in Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury. Burial was in Parson's Cemetery, Salisbury.
