Betty Dutile Obituary
Funeral services for Betty Grappe Dutile will be held at 11:00 am Monday, February 5, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Natchitoches, LA. Visitation will be at 10am prior to the funeral service in the church.
Mrs. Dutile, 82, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Texas Health Presbyterian hospital in Allen, Texas after a decline in health.
She was born in Natchitoches, LA, to Willie and Nettie Mims Grappe, but lived the last several years with her daughter in Dallas, Texas. Betty retired from Northwestern State University, where she worked as an Office Manager. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, road trips, football, cooking and reading.
As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she held numerous callings in various organizations including positions in Relief Society. Prior to her husband’s death, they served as President and Temple Matron in the Baton Rouge Louisiana Temple.
She is survived by her two children: Tina Drye, and husband Stephen of Fairview, TX, and grandchildren, Chris and Claire Drye; Eric Dutile, and wife Nicole of Gilbert, AZ and granddaughter, Annabelle Dutile.
