It was early in the morning of March 6, 2022 that our precious wife, mother and grandmother Betty Dean Venable, passed away at the age of 90.
She was the third child born to her parents Adrian Dean and Leatha Smith Dean on October 4, 1931 in West Ogden, Utah. In 1937, when she was five, her parents bought a home in North Ogden where she spent her childhood.
She was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and always had a firm testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. She loved her Savior deeply and emulated his example of love by her actions and deeds.
Her love story began when she was attending Weber High School where she met the love of her life Dee Venable. Of all those she had dated, Dee was the one who took her to really nice places. He swept her off her feet.
They were married March 24, 1950 in Ogden and had their love sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple on May 3, 1955. When they came out of the sealing room Dee gave her a big hug and said, "Now you are mine forever." Even after 72 years of marriage, she never forgot those beautiful words.
They were blessed with five precious children, Randy, Terry, Cathy, Chad and Troy. After they had their family, they moved to North Ogden in 1968.
In 1972 she began working as a secretary at Edison Elementary and continued in that position until 1994. She dearly loved the children and those she worked with and continued to remember them with love throughout her life.
She is survived by her sweetheart, Dee, and the following children: Randy (Janice) Venable, Terry (Cindy) Venable, Chad (Christy) Venable, Troy (Jodi) Venable, 16 granddaughters, 6 grandsons, and 63 great grandchildren with two more on the way. She is also survived by her sister Marie Warren and the following brothers, Larry (Connie) Dean, Robert (Linda) Dean, Kenny (Jolene) Dean.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Cathy (Tom Clark), daughter-in-law Kathy (Chad Venable), grandson Sheldon Clark, granddaughter Jamie Lacefield. The following siblings: Dale, Marvin, Shirley, Joseph, Ronald Dean, and Steve Warren. Her in-laws, Alvin and Irene Venable, and a sister and brother in-law Betty and Norman Sawyer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the North Ogden 11th Ward, 2340 No. Fruitland Drive. Viewings will be held at the church on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be at North Ogden Cemetery.
Betty's service will be live streamed on her obituary page on Myers' website www.myers-mortuary.com to watch scroll to the bottom on her obituary page.

It is with a sad heart that I say goodbye to dear Betty. She is now among many she loves and hasn't seen for many years which brings me joy. She is now awaiting that day when she will be with Dee in a heavenly place in the near future. My deepest sympathy to Dee and the family at her passing at this time Betty was one of the sweetest, kindest people I have had the privilege of knowing out here in North Ogden. Bless you all!.
