With hearts full of love and sorrow, we celebrate the life of Brayden Michael Wood-a son, brother, grandson/family member, and friend who lived with a genuine kindness and light so bright, that anyone who knew him was undoubtedly impacted by him.
Born on July 5, 2005, in Orem, Utah, to Dale and April Wood, Brayden came into this world with a compassionate heart and a contagious zest for adventure and life.
In his childhood, you could always find young Brayden attached to a baseball and glove, arguably his first two friends in life. From sunrise to sunset, while most kids were playing video games, Brayden was outside perfecting his craft of pitching or swinging the bat, while always wearing a Yankees hat. But in the rare occurrence he was doing neither, he was playing Hot Wheels with his siblings, creatively building something new, becoming an entrepreneur with friends to earn money, or winning the "kindness award" in middle school-a true testament to the size of his enormous heart.
Because to know Brayden, was to know warmth, laughter, and the truest kind of friendship. How he constantly treated others with kindness and empathy was a hallmark of his character. No act of service was too big; no stranger was too unimportant to help; no heart was too undeserving to love.
His Christlike love was something to admire about him. Brayden tenderly saw within each person their infinite worth, and without judgment, he always accepted everyone for who they were at that moment. He radiated love, compassion, and selflessness with every friendship. Rare is the one who has that generous gift and Brayden fondly exemplified and shared it.
And when he spoke to you, he really spoke to you-giving his full attention, listening with intent, and making you feel truly heard. Brayden had an uncanny ability to talk about anything with anyone, always supplied with an endless stream of knowledge and a quick-witted comeback. His humor was sharp, his timing impeccable, and his heart always in the right place.
Brayden was also a gentleman in every sense of the word, showing kindness and respect to all, especially to the women in his life, all of whom always felt valued, seen, and loved-because that's who he was.
Brayden graduated from Timpanogos High School in May of 2024, but not before helping his baseball team become State Champs during his Junior year, the greatest highlight and pinnacle of his young baseball career-for it can be said that all the countless hours of backyard ball had finally paid off! But true to his tender heart, the trophies that mattered most to him weren't displayed on shelves, but rather, were the deep relationships with family and friends that he had won throughout life, always leaving behind moments that will be remembered forever. For his happiest days were always spent with them, whether he was at home, or out hunting, fishing, and camping, or on the baseball field and the golf course, doing the things he loved with the people he loved most.
Brayden leaves behind a world that is dimmer without him, but the love he shared, the kindness he gave, and the joy he spread will live on in the countless lives he touched. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and light, and his beautiful spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
We will carry forward his memory, and we hope we can all strive to live as he did-fully, joyfully, and with Christlike love. We will #LLBWOOD-Live Like Bwood.
Brayden is survived by and will forever be a loving son to Dale and April Wood, a beloved brother of Mckinley, Brooklyn, Kendall, and Easton, a grandson cherished by Vicki Wood, Stan and Jan Adams, and Steven and Jeannette Hall, and a caring family member to many.
He is preceded in death and is now reunited in heaven with his grandpa Theron Wood, his aunts Wendy Wood-Hood, NaTasha Adams, and TaNiesha Adams, and his uncle Gabe Adams-loved ones who welcome him home with open arms.
