Brian Keith Atkinson
October 30, 1976 – May 9, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Brian Keith Atkinson on May 9, 2025 following a cardiac event. He was born in Ogden, Utah to Lynn and Shirley Atkinson. He graduated from Fremont High School in 1995. His close friends knew him as "Town". For over twenty years he owned and operated his own business as a painting contractor. Brian lived an active and adventurous life.
He found joy in snowmobiling, mountain biking, dirt biking, camping, fishing, hunting, snowboarding, playing baseball, attending concerts, and cheering for the Washington Huskies. When he wasn't outside he spent time watching hockey and documentaries, listening to hard rock, and enjoying a Coors Lite.
He put energy and passion into his work and hobbies. Though he was single and without children, Brian's life was rich with the love of his family and friends. Nieces and Nephews enjoyed spending time with him, and his close friends were a big part of his life. His memory and humor will continue to warm the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.
He is preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Keith E. Atkinson and Jeanette Atkinson, and Melvin J. Penman and Phyllis Penman; cherished aunts and uncles, including Paul Chesterman and Kathy Penman; and his beloved sister, Emily Atkinson. Brian is survived by his devoted parents, Shirley and Lynn Atkinson, his siblings Brandon (Jodi) Atkinson, Eric (Jeanne) Atkinson, Melanie (Curtis) Francis, and Megan (Justin) King; eleven nieces and nephews; and loyal friends.
Brian will be lovingly remembered for his strong and independent nature and his quiet kindness. As we grieve his loss, we also celebrate the life he led and the lasting mark he leaves on our hearts.
A private service will be held by the family to honor him. In lieu of flowers, spend time in the outdoors with those you love to remember Brian.
