Charlie Anthony Etchieson was born on December 6th 2023 and lived a very short but meaningful life and passed away on June 24th 2024.
Charlie weighed 4 pounds and 3 ounces and was born at 33 weeks. He was born into a loving family of 5. Mom, Maggie A Etchieson, originally from California now living in Austin, Texas, Dad, John M. Etchieson, originally from South Carolina now residing in Austin,Texas. Charlie has three amazing brothers John A. Etchieson, first born and oldest brother, Zachary S.Etchieson, second oldest brother, and Theo P. Etchieson, third oldest brother.
Since the moment Charlie entered this world, he brought joy into our hearts and into our lives. He was a very happy baby, always laughing, smiling and cooing.
He loved to eat, and I would say that at the tiny tiny age of 6 months, he was a picky eater. His favorite food was cream of wheat and his least favorite food was carrots.
He hit his milestones a lot quicker than his brothers. By the time he was 4 months old, he was almost on his hands and knees pushing himself forward. He was quick with turning from his back to his tummy and he was holding his head up before he turned 2 months old.
Charlie was on this earth a short amount of time and made a huge impact on people around him. The biggest impact Charlie made was delivering his organs and saving other individuals. He was able to save the lives of three men. His heart went to a 7 month old boy, his liver went to a 1 year old boy, and his kidneys went to a 28 year old man.
Charlie will always be remembered not only for his heroism but for the amount of joy he placed in our hearts.
