Danielle L. Diogenes

WAREHAM – On June 3, 2025, Danielle L. (Lupien) Diogenes passed away at home after fiercely battling cancer for 5 years. She was 53. She died surrounded by her loving family.
Danielle was born in Stoughton, raised in Plymouth, and lived in Carver before moving to Wareham, MA. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School, received her BA at Plymouth State University, and her Master's degree in Education from Cambridge College.
Danielle worked as an English Language Arts Teacher at Whitman Hanson Regional High School for nearly 30 years. She dedicated her life to teaching and loved her work.
Danielle enjoyed reading novels, travelling, skiing, snowmobiling, and doing jigsaw puzzles at her slice-of-heaven cabin in Grafton, NH. Danielle was big-hearted, joyful, and quick to laugh. She was devoted to her family and created lifelong friendships, including with her sorority sisters in Chi Alpha Zeta (XAZ). She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Danielle is survived by her husband, Scott J. Diogenes; her twin sons, Alexander Diogenes and Benjamin Diogenes; her parents, William and Jacqueline (Bradley) Lupien; her brother, Brad Lupien and his wife, Jessica Pressman, her niece and nephew, Sydney and Jonah Lupien. She leaves behind many other beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, colleagues, and students.
Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. A celebration of life ceremony will take place at a later date.
Inspired by Danielle's dedication to teaching and her deep love of her students at Whitman Hanson Regional High School, her family has established a scholarship fund in her memory to support Whitman Hanson Regional High School students finance their college or higher education.
