Danny Lee Piercy

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Danny Lee Piercy, age 83. He passed away on March 26, 2025, after a long struggle with various health issues. He lived in Rowlett, Texas, with his wife of 57 years, Nancy.
When you met Danny, he would greet you with a twinkle in his eye and mischievous smile. If you spent much time with him, you were sure to hear an arsenal of jokes, a possible serenade, or a nostalgic story. Danny was dedicated to his family and poured into his children and even more into his grandchildren. Pappa (Pa-Paw) was their comedian, the kindest safe and supportive soul, home in a person, and the calm in the storm. He was a faithful member of First Rowlett United Methodist Church and Agape Sunday School Class. In his younger years he enjoyed golf, drawing, shooting, square dancing, cycling, water skiing and snow skiing. Watching his grandchildren grow up and play the various sports and events, he would be the loudest fan in the room or on the field.
Danny started his career as an electrical lineman and worked his way up to a master electrician. He retired as electrical trades teacher. He was loved, cherished and will be deeply missed. Wherever he was, he was the greatest teacher and always garnered a smile.
Danny is survived by his wife, Nancy Piercy; sister, Vicki Piercy; children, Duane Piercy (Jennifer) and Susan Piercy (Jeff); and five grandchildren, Lauren Viray (Ephraim), Natalie Bowers (Aaron), Nathan Piercy (Shelby), Anthony Piercy, and Nelson Piercy. He is preceded in his death by his parents, AC and Naomi Piercy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 11, 2025, at 1:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, Rowlett, TX. Dress in spring colors as if you were going to attend a party. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First Rowlett United Methodist Church.
