Debra Darlene (Majors) Burden, 68, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.
Debra was born in Evansville, Indiana on April 15, 1956. She graduated from Central High School in 1974. Debra worked for Anchor Industries and the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation at Evans School for many years. Debra had an incredible work ethic and always provided for her family. She loved her family dearly and was a supportive mother and grandmother. Debra was her sons' and grandchildren's biggest fan in all their sports endeavors. She will be deeply missed.
Debra is survived by her sons, Shaun Burden (Maria) of Evansville, IN, Josh Burden (Tori) of Boonville, IN, and Master Sergeant Tim Lamb; sister, Ruby Cook (Donald); brother, Bobby Majors; grandchildren, Kaylee Kuehn, Darren Kuehn, Xander Burden, Kerstin Chandler, Cameryn Burden, Americus Burden and Tyler Burden; niece, Britney Majors; nephews, Dylan Cook (Cassie) and Zachariah Majors; and great nephew, Dakota Cook.
Debra was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby L. Hoskins; father, Robert "Bobby" Earl Majors; and husband of over 20 years and father of her children, Steve Burden.
A celebration of Debra's life will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating.
Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until service time on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
