Dollie "Dot" Bruce, age 93, passed away on August 10, 2025, at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. Dot was born on May 18, 1932, in Gainesville, Georgia.

Known for her fiery straight-shooter personality, Dot was respected for her honesty and cherished for her genuine candor. She enjoyed quilting and was an excellent cook.

Dot loved to dance and was a member of the Eastern Star. Nothing brought more joy to Dot than spending time with her grandbabies.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Bruce and son, David E. Bruce.

Dot is survived by her children, Charles Bruce and Linda Johnson; sister, Mary Nell Langston; partner, Julius Welchel; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 13th from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 14th from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
