Eleanore C Donio

Eleanore C. Donio (nee Carlone) of Easton, PA formerly of Summit, NJ passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital, Easton, PA at the age of 99.
Eleanore was born on October 5, 1925 in Chatham, NJ. She was the daughter of Mary (nee Rillo) and Anthony Carlone. She grew up in Chatham and lived in Summit for many years before moving to Easton, PA in 2007. Eleanore enjoyed crocheting, shopping, gardening and tending to her house plants. She loved traveling and going on cruises. As a talented cook, Eleanore was delighted to make exquisite meals for her cherished family and friends. She was known for her generosity and kindness towards others.
Eleanore was a parishioner at St. Teresa of Avila Church, Summit where she worked part time in the rectory and as a cook. She also spent time volunteering at Overlook Medical Center. While living in Summit she had fond memories of being a part of the neighborhood's "Stich and B***H Club". Above all Eleanore was devoted to her faith and spending time with her cherished family.
Eleanore is survived by her loving daughter, Joanne Hammer, her beloved partner of 60 years, Joseph Kawan and her adored grandchildren, Kimberly Rodriguez, Michael Donio and his wife Celia and Chrissie Staley and her husband Kelly. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Joseph, Sophia, Emi, Natalie, Rhett, McGrady and Charlotte "Charlie" as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews. Eleanore is predeceased by her parents, her son Michael Donio and siblings, Joseph, Carl, Anthony, Albert, William and Mario Carlone and Laura Sibona, Mary Rillo and Clara Carlone.

Entombment will follow at St. Vincent Martyr Cemetery, Madison, NJ. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial.
