Esperanza M. Ducharme

Esperanza M. (Roche) Ducharme, 83, of Granby, beloved wife of 57 years to Francis G. Ducharme, passed away with loving family by her side on Sunday, November 10, 2024. Born in Puerto Rico, October of 1943, daughter of the late Felipe and Irene (Santana) Roche.
Raised in Puerto Rico in her early years and spent the majority of her younger years growing up in New Britain, Connecticut.
Graduated from New Britain High School in 1963, Esperanza went on continuing her education at the University of Hartford earning an associate's degree in computer science. Esperanza had a career path working with IT systems and worked for the patient data control at Saint Francis Hospital up until retirement where she continued staying busy and working retail management.
Esperanza was a parishioner of Saint Therese Parish in Granby, CT. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed planting and caring for flowers in her yard. Most of all she was a loving and generous giving family member who also extended that love to her friends.
Besides the Esperanza's husband, Frank Ducharme, of Granby, CT, she is survived by a son, Gerald Ducharme of South Windsor, CT; brothers, George Roche of New Britain, CT, and James Roche of Amherst, MA; sisters, Aurea (Luis) Vazquez of Brandon, FL, Nina (Rodney) Peterson of NC and Gladys Mari of New Britain, CT; many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as cherished neighbors and friends.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 4:00-7:00pm at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook Street, Granby, CT, 06035. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, 10:00AM at Saint Therese Parish, 120 W. Granby Road, Granby, CT. 06035, followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery in West Hartford, CT.
