Georgia Belle Prichard 1925-2024
Georgia Prichard, 99, of Grayson went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. She was born January 20, 1925, at John's Run in Carter County, KY a daughter of the late Charles F. and Mae V. (Kitchen) Prichard.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence C. Prichard.
Georgia was a lifelong member of the Willard Wesleyan Church. She loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all her heart, and she loved God's Word. Georgia was a powerful prayer warrior, and Heaven knows what a wonderful impact her many years of faithful praying have had on her family and friends.
She obtained her teaching degree from Morehead State University and taught for 42 years at the Hitchens Elementary School. She loved listening to gospel music, gardening, and reading.
She is survived by two sisters; Carolyn L. Davis of Lexington, KY, and Dorothy J. Abbott of NJ; four brothers, Allen Luke (Donna) Prichard, Harlan B.(Kathleen) Prichard, James Prichard, and Herbert Prichard all of Grayson, KY; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at noon at the Sparks Funeral Home David Wilcox, minister. Burial will follow in the Kitchen Family Cemetery in Willard. Serving as pallbearers will be; Matthew Prichard, Christopher Prichard, Marcus Prichard, Ryker Prichard, Preston Prichard, and Cameron Prichard.
Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 16, 2024, until service time at the funeral home.
