It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Gerd W. Voges.
Gerd W. Voges Jr., 60, of Easton, PA, passed away in the early hours of Christmas 2024, surrounded by his family at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, PA.
Gerd was born on September 1, 1964, to Gerd Sr. and Margaret (Grant) Voges. He graduated from North Hunterdon High School in Flemington, NJ, in 1982. Following in his father's footsteps, he owned and operated Voges Plumbing & Heating in downtown Easton since 1987.
Gerd adored his dog, Maggie, and his grand-pups. He enjoyed fishing and Bird Hunting. He had a deep passion for racing, especially his 1969 Camaro SS, fondly named Midnight Fantasy. He was an integral part of his son Eric's race team, Bad Lab Motorsports, and had an extended race family at Line Mountain 4x4's. He truly enjoyed fabricating and building their off-road race truck together. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his grandchildren. If you ever asked him for advice, he would give you the advice you needed, even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear.
He was a proud member of many local organizations, including Citizen Hose, Liberty Hose Co. #2, Safety First Volunteer Fire Co., and Palmer Township Fire Co.
Gerd is survived by his loving wife, Susan Voges; his son Eric Voges and daughter-in-law Samantha, and their son Aiden; his daughter LuAnn Raso and son-in-law Anthony, and their children Anthony Wyatt and Lillian; and his son Matthew Follin and daughter-in-law Sabrina.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
