James "Jimmy" Herman Weber Jr., of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024, surrounded by a few close friends, at Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital, following a battle with congenital heart disease and COPD, at the age of 53.
Jimmy was born to James Herman Weber Sr. and Margo Marilyn (Hass) Parker on November 23, 1970, in Milwaukee, WI. This is where he spent his childhood and teen years, attending Custer High School. He later relocated to the Stevens Point area, where he remained until his passing.
Jimmy spent the majority of his working career in the manufacturing industry. Alongside his work, he was always pushing himself to learn new things and then try them out. While he was venturesome in his career, he was just as adventurous for fun. He loved to travel; his travels took him to new places and also allowed him to meet new people. His friend base was vast! Jimmy was sure to spoil his friends, too. He loved to cook for anyone seated at his table and made sure the feast was a grand display!
Jimmy was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and believed in green and gold all the way! He had a deep passion for muscle cars and motorcycles, even owning a 'Cuda and a Harley at one point. His love for music was vast, from classical to the Grateful Dead, and his quirky obsession with vintage glassware and pottery allowed him to leave little trinkets for those he cared for. Jimmy also had a talent for pool and was known to "hustle" others with this skill. Of course, it was all in good fun, just as his silvery tongue and quick wit were as well. Jimmy also had an astonishing memory, full of information and every line to his favorite movie, Forrest Gump. Later in life, Jimmy took up drawing and discovered a love for art. He could be found doing some of his own artwork to pass the time.
In the words of Jimmy, "those who cared for him, he will be missed, and those who didn't will be relieved, and some a mix of both, but he will be remembered."
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, Our Lord." Romans 8:38-39
Jimmy is survived by his son, Michael Weber; a granddaughter, Leighton Christine; his step-mother, Debra Dankemeyer Weber; and his siblings, Penny, Peggy, and Denny.
