HARTFORD – Jeanette Allene Snodgrass, 97, formerly of Centertown passed away June 17th, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born in Ohio County on April 22nd, 1928 to the late Clarence and Maggie White Morris.
Jeanette was an employee of Ohio County Hospital for 19 years. She and her husband were members of the Lamplighters Trio and she was a member of Centertown Tabernacle Church. She was an amazing cook and authored two cookbooks. She was made a Kentucky Colonel in 2024.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Truman Snodgrass; 8 siblings; and her son-in-law, Cecil Bowlds.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jerry (Billy Jean) Snodgrass, Shelta (Jimmy) Reno, Bruce (Betty) Snodgrass, Portia Snodgrass, Benny (Lynn) Snodgrass, and Brad (Lisa) Snodgrass; 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren; and her only living sibling, Bill Morris.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dogwood Retreat and to Linda James, a special friend to Mom and our family.
A service will be held Thursday, June 19th, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Marty Bowlds officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com.
