Jeffrey Scott Jaeger

Canandaigua - Jeffrey Scott Jaeger, age 62, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, after a long journey of many health issues.
He is survived by his daughter, Kaitlyn (Andrew) Birchard of Canandaigua and was deeply loved by his seven grandchildren, Kaila Oliver, Lennox Oliver, Conner Oliver, Joseph Birchard, Lucas Birchard, Liam Birchard, and Ensley Birchard; brother, Rev. James P. Jaeger of Canandaigua; sister, Beth Jaeger of Canandaigua; niece, Kristen (Matthew) Randazzo of Fort Sill, OK; and many dear friends.
Jeff was born in Canandaigua and was the son of James E. and Mary Jane (Rhoades) Jaeger. He was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy. After graduation, Jeff joined the US Air Force where he served for two years. He later pursued different careers but spent the majority of his career at the Wegmans Warehouse in Rochester, as a forklift operator.
Jeff enjoyed animals, good movies, good food, and making people laugh. He was often seen feeding the deer, birds or other wild animals wherever he went. He was known by his grandkids for his wheelchair rides, unending purchasing of walkie talkies for them, and his support of their business, collecting and returning bottles. Jeff was known by family and friends for his homemade spaghetti sauce and constant sarcasm!
He will be missed by many. While his time on earth was cut all too short, Jeff made the best out of it regardless of each and every obstacle he faced. His quirky personality will be missed!
