Obituary of Rev. Dr. Jo Humphrey Campe III
Rev. Dr. Jo H. Campe III age 79, died on June 24, 2024 in St. Paul, MN, due to a respiratory illness. Survived by children, Joey and Molly, grandchildren, Kai and Ruby, siblings Chris and Annette, and golden retriever Cedar. Jo served as a United Methodist minister for decades in various churches in MN, including The Recovery Church. He will be remembered for his love of the Boundary Waters, irreverent sense of humor, commitment to the 12-steps, and jumping in the lake after saunas. We will celebrate Jo on Sun. July 21 at 1pm at The Recovery Church, 253 State Street, St. Paul.

"God Found Us At The Bottom" was our song....great memories of Jo first calling me to come sing at the Church and I told him, "I'm afraid if I walk into a Church I'll catch on fire, cause I don't know what I believe." He laughed and said, "It isn't what you believe as much as it is what you do." And my journey with Jo began, Among other things he cared for my little bother Paul for years by giving him a job at the Recovery Church. What a sweet man. Love you always Jo.
