Joseph J. Schaeper

Joseph J. Schaeper, 37, of San Diego, California and formerly of Avon Lake, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 surrounded by his loving wife and parents. He was born October 12, 1984 in Columbus, Ohio.

Joe was raised in Avon Lake and was a 2003 graduate of Avon Lake High School. He enjoyed playing football in high school and graduated just prior to the championship season. Joe earned his bachelor's degree at Baldwin Wallace with honors in 2009 with a major in Business Marketing and minor in Finance. He was a Product Manager in the construction industry, working with several companies, and had just recently transitioned to sales with Wurth Louis and Company.

Joe was an avid fan of the Ohio State University football program, and he enjoyed playing football and basketball. He had a goofy side with a great sense of humor and wit. He was extremely thoughtful and protective of the ones he loved. Joe could often seem larger than life. But above all, he was devoted to his wife and daughters and loved them dearly.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife Paige (nee Quastad) whom he married in December 2020; cherished parents James and Terri (nee England) Schaeper; his loving daughters Jacey and Julia Schaeper, and their mother Jen Schaeper; his parents-in-law Julie and Derek Tanner; grandparents Janet Schaeper and Carl England; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother Jason Schaeper; and grandparents John Schaeper and Vera England.

Joe was so proud of his daughters and was especially excited to see his oldest daughter start a new chapter in college this next year. Friends and family may call for a visitation on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 10:00am - 12:00pm with a service starting at 12:00pm at Busch Funeral Home 163 Avon Belden Rd, Avon Lake, OH 44012.
