Juanita (Culp) Buttermore passed away peacefully at Altercare of Alliance at 4:35 am on September 28, 2024, due to complications of Dementia.

Born on November 27, 1929, in Alliance, Ohio, to Loyd and Bernice Culp, Juanita was a 1948 graduate of Alliance High School and retired in 1993 from the Alliance Review where she was employed as a bookkeeper. Juanita was a lifelong member of First Christian Church and member of the Pythian Sisters Lone Rock Temple 191. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Karen Leonard; grandsons, Jason (Jill) Leonard and Michael Leonard; great-grandchildren, Jarek Leonard, Trevor (Christina) Seymour and Paige Davis; nephew, Tim (Sherry) Culp of Kentucky; best friend, Peggy Zeppernick; and long-time family member, Abbey Leonard. Juanita adored all her family and was always up for anything that involved them, especially her boys Jason, Michael, and Jarek. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, James Culp, sister-in-law, Janet Culp, and nephew, Thomas Culp. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Altercare of Alliance and Absolute Hospice for their care and support. 

Per Juanita’s request, there will be no services.

A memorial service will be held at Alliance First Christian Church at a later date. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Condolences and special memories of Juanita can be shared with her family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
