Julian "Bart" Bayless Hudson, 85, of Middletown passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, at his home. He was born in Anderson to the late Russell and Aledaide (Bayless) Hudson.
He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be truly missed by us still here and embraced by those who have gone before him.
Bart was a 1957 graduate of Anderson High School. He served in the United States Army and then in the Army Reserve. Bart was a Toolmaker for 50 years working at many local tool shops over the years before retiring in 2004 from Liberty Tool. He volunteered for the Middletown EMS for several years as an EMT. Bart was a member of East 91st Street Christian Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He was an active member in several groups including Al-Anon, Tecumseh Lodge and Strong Heart Singers.
He is survived by his children, Tony Bunnell of Lebanon, Becky (John) Genth of Decatur and Russell (Jae) Hudson of Fishers; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; siblings, David Hudson, Julia Price, Claude (Linda) Hudson, Claudia (Fred) Johnson, Andrea Addcox, Doug (Diana) Hudson, Peter (Tara) Hudson and Steve (Karen) Hudson; brother-in-law, Terry (Cherly) Granger; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bart is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Hudson; son, Duane Hudson and brother, Robert "Van" Hudson.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring for Bart.
