Katherine Suzanne "Kathy" Jones

Katherine Suzanne Jones, known to her loved ones as "Kathy," passed away peacefully on January 18, 2024, at the age of 70 in Cherryvale, Kansas. She was born on January 2, 1954, in Coffeyville, Kansas, to John A. Jones and Gladys (Johnson) Jones.
Kathy was a kind, generous, and loving person. She had a warm heart and a compassionate nature that endeared her to everyone she met. Kathy was a devoted sister to her brother, David (Judy) Jones of Cherryvale, Kansas. She cherished her role as an aunt to her nephews, Stan (Becky) Jones of Wichita and Seth (Sarah) Jones of Cherryvale, and her great nieces and nephews, Austin Jones, Anna Jones, Anderson Jones, Adelaide Jones, and Eliza Jones.
After graduating from Labette County High School in the Class of 1972, Kathy began her career at Fred Ronald Clothing Manufacturer in Parsons, Kansas. She later worked for ACC, Dana, and Standard Motors in Independence, Kansas, where she dedicated over 30 years of her life.
Kathy found solace and strength in her faith and was an active member of the Galesburg Christian Church. She enjoyed attending church services and cherished the community she found there.
In her free time, Kathy loved indulging in crafts and spending time with her nephews and great nieces and nephews. Her caring and nurturing nature made her a beloved figure in their lives.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Wickham Family Funeral Home, located at 216 East 4th in Cherryvale, Kansas. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Kathy's memory to the Galesburg Christian Church.

Kathy's memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, but her kind spirit and loving nature will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
