Kathi Kibler

Kathi J. Kibler, age 64, of Marion, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 1:10 a.m. in Harrisburg Medical Center, Harrisburg, IL.
She was born on May 29, 1960 in Paducah, KY, to William "Bill" Lee and Vivian Janet (Cook) Kibler.
Kathi was a 1978 graduate of Marion High School. During her years at Marion High School she was a proud member of the MHS Pom Squad. She continued her education at University of Illinois – Champaign-Urbana and then Auburn University.
Kathi was a professor of Psychology for nearly 20 years for John A. Logan College, a career she cherished.
Kathi was a very caring and generous person. She loved to give to charities and support those who were in need. She enjoyed attending St. Louis Cardinal Baseball games and loved to read Southern Living Magazine.
She is survived by her daughter, Alexandra Kibler of Marion, IL; brother, Keith Kibler and wife, Sandy, of Marion, IL; nephew, Jonathan Kibler and wife, Amanda, of Marion; niece, Chelsea Tang and husband, Johann, of Carbondale, IL; great-nieces and great-nephews, Lydia and Jude Kibler and Rhema and Willow Tang; good friends, Joanna Christopher and Lisa Hudgens; and many other friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Kibler; mother, Janet Kibler; step-mother, Jessie Kibler; and sister, Kandi Kibler.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 North Court Street, Marion, IL.
A graveside service will be held in Rose Hill Cemetery of Marion, IL on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. Those attending the service are asked to gather at the cemetery just prior to 11:30 a.m.
For those who prefer, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to "Feed the Children" or "Doctors Without Borders." Envelopes will be available at the service or may be mailed c/o Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 North Court Street, Marion, IL 62959.
