Kathleen B. Nowak, 81, of Hinckley passed away July 28, 2025. She was born February 27, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Harry and Anna Mae Mazer.
Kathy grew up in Garfield Heights, Ohio; graduated from Holy Name High School; and was a licensed practical nurse. A loving, generous woman, Kathy was a devoted mother, Christian and member of Cornerstone Chapel Medina. Kathy loved to crochet, garden and was a member of Hinckley Arts and Crafts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; daughter, Lori Ann; brother, Fred Mazer; sister, Marilyn Bradley.
Kathleen is survived by her children: sons, Robert (Jennifer) Johnson, Rick; daughters, Melissa, Jeanie, Jessica Nowak; her grandchildren: Olivea, Brooke, Dylan, Brandon, Luke; many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Carlson Funeral Home – Medina Chapel, 3477 Medina Road (Route 18 & River Styx), Medina, Ohio. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 a.m., officiated by Pastor Michael Gardiner. At 2:15 p.m., Kathy will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, with Richard.
Care for Kathy was entrusted to Carlson Funeral Home – Medina Chapel.
