Kyle R. Schrader, 31, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 8, 2024 in Gurnee, IL. He was born October 27, 1992 in Waukegan, IL and was a longtime resident of Gurnee, IL, graduating from Warren Township High School in 2011. Kyle played floor hockey from a young age until he started playing Ice Hockey through his high school years and also enjoyed adult softball. He was a Libertyville USPS carrier for the past 3 years and was a die-hard Redwings Hockey fan from an early age. Kyle had a presence about him that would light up a room and his sense of humor would make everyone laugh, especially when doing his voice impressions. He was loved by many and will be missed even more. Kyle was a hardworking, smart, kind, handsome young man that went out of his way to help any way he could. He had a connection to his devoted pets, Brutus his Huskey & Chloe his cat and his loving cat Snickers will be waiting for him to give him his angel wings.
Surviving are his parents, Jamie & Jeanne Schrader; maternal grandparents, Jeannine & Joseph Lee; paternal grandparents, Marian & Weston "Andy" Schrader; aunts & uncles, Kevin & Rachel Gentry, Donald & Janet Peoples, Edward & Christine Gentry, James & Heather Gentry and Ryan & Lucinda Schmeling and by many loving cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Roger Gentry.
A visitation will begin at 3:00 until time of funeral services at 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2024 at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176, one block West of Milwaukee Ave.) in Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Border Tails Rescue, www.bordertailsrescue.org.
