Leroy Roybal passed away on April 9, 2024, from a sudden illness. He was born April 16, 1966, to Richard and Charlotte Roybal in Los Angeles, CA.
Leroy was a long-time resident of Santa Fe, NM. He graduated from Pecos High School. Leroy lived in many places in his adult life.
Leroy was preceded in death by his father Richard Roybal and mother Charlotte Roybal; brother Lawrence Roybal and great niece Serenity.
Leroy is survived by his sisters Bernadette (Kenny) and Annette (Mathew); brother Jake (Janelle); partner Danny and sons Gage and Karma. Leroy had ten nieces and nephews Cory, Ivan, Tammi, Nicole, Chris, Denise, Phashay, Cheyenne, Mari and Jake Jr. He had 11 great nephews and nieces Jozlyn, Robby, Lorenzo, Katelyn, Hailyrose, Johnny, Jayd, Zarra, Lexi, Michael and Charlotte. He also had 3 great-great niece and nephews Iziah, Ellie and Lucas; aunts Rosemary, Clara and Ida and many cousins.
Leroy really loved his family especially, his nieces and nephews. Leroy was a loving son, uncle, brother, and friend. He was always there to help no matter the situation especially his mother and father, his brothers and sisters. He had a special bond with his sister Bernadette who was a year apart from him. They spend a lot of time together as children and adults. You could say he was a kindhearted loving guy. He always made everyone laugh when he was around.
Leroy will always be missed and remembered in our hearts forever.
A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 9:00 am at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe del Valle de Pojoaque in Pojoaque, NM, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 am. Reception to follow at the Cities of Gold.
