Lorraine Bradt, age 73, passed away on May 14, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Steven Bradt, with whom she had just recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Lorraine was the proud and devoted mother of Krystal Laskaris (Phil), and the loving Grandmom to her cherished grandchildren, Leo, Anna, and Luke. She was also a dear sister to Joanne Mroz, love all her nieces and nephews, and is predeceased by her parents John Joseph and Angeline Kapcia, and her brother, Jack Kapica.
Born and raised in Port Richmond, Philadelphia, Lorraine was a graduate of George Washington High School, Class of 1970. She worked as a secretary at Innovation Printing, where she met Steve her future husband and lifelong companion. Together, they built a warm and joyful life filled with family, love, and traditions.
Some of Lorraine's fondest memories were made during family vacations to North Wildwood and Ocean City, New Jersey, and during quiet date nights at Santucci's. She especially treasured her time with her grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. Valentine's Day held a special place in Lorraine's heart, not only for its meaning of love, but also because it was her birthday. Steven always made sure the day was extra special for her. Lorraine had a lifelong love of animals and cared for many beloved pets over the years. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Family and friends are invited to Lorraine's Life Celebration on Wednesday, May 21st, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorraine's memory may be made to the SPCA.
