Marvin Glenn Warren, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Norfolk, Virginia, on June 13, 2025. He was 64 years old.
Born on January 16, 1961, Marvin dedicated much of his life to his profession as a plumber, working over 20 years with Ellsworth Plumbing. His commitment to his work and his community was evident to all who knew him.
Marvin had a deep passion for sports, especially as a devoted fan of the Washington Redskins and the Atlanta Braves. However, his proudest moments came from coaching his nephews in baseball. He took great joy in guiding his nephew James from tee ball through to high school baseball, imparting not only skills but also life lessons along the way.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred Rogers Corn and Marvin Leo Warren. He is survived by his son, Ted Glenn Warren of Newport News, Virginia; his grandson, Clayton Linwood Warren; his sister, Darlene Warren Hickman, and her husband Jerry of Elizabeth City. Marvin will be missed by his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The family will visit on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service - Letchworth Chapel. A memorial service will follow at noon to celebrate Marvin's life and legacy.
