Obituary
Michael L. Brittingham, 37, of Harrington, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023. He is the son of Thomas Brittingham and Karen Brittingham.
Michael graduated from Glasgow High School in 2003, and the University of Delaware in 2008, with a Bachelor's degree in Business and a minor in Theological Studies. He worked for the Delaware Department of Labor as a Tax Administrator. He also was the Past President of the Kent County Volunteer Firefighter's Association, Past President of the Camden-Wyoming Fire Co., a member of the Harrington Fire Co., and a member of the Masonic Temple Lodge No. 9 A.F. & A.M. in Milford.
In his free time, Michael loved to travel with his family in their camper, and always found a historical site to visit while they traveled. He enjoyed trying new things, playing video games, riding his motorcycle (before having children), and had a love/hate relationship with hiking. Michael had a strong faith, and at one time started a church in New Jersey. He made friends wherever he went, and had a light about him that people were drawn towards. He was compassionate, accepting of others, and never one to judge people. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Michael was preceded in death by his Angel Baby in 2018, and his grandparents who helped raise him, Lloyd and Mary Saunders.
In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his wife of almost seven years, Erin Brittingham; children, Conner, Ella, and Alexander; three siblings; and a host of extended family and friends.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Michael will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 S. Dupont Hwy. Harrington, DE at 12:00 PM (noon), A viewing will take place one hour prior, starting at 11:00 AM.
