Michael Rosenfield, 59, of Farmington died surrounded by love at home on January 9th, 2025. Born on April 19th, 1965 in New York City to the late Samuel & Roberta Rosenfield, he grew up in Nanuet, NY, later attending the University of Hartford and Pace University. He started his career at GE Capital and went on to work at several insurance companies. He was proudest of his time at Cigna, working as project leader to get the video game Remission into the hands of children with cancer, work for which he earned the Cigna President's Award. He also served on the board of the local JDRF, as Type 1 Diabetes research was so important to him. Michael loved UConn basketball, taking long walks, and listening to excellent music. He loved coaching his daughters' rec basketball team and participating in Scouts. He was a lifelong Mets fan and enjoyed watching the Jets occasionally win.
Michael is survived by his wife of 31 years, Amy, and his 4 daughters: Esther (Hannah), Hanna, Rachel, and Eliana.
His family is so grateful to the ALS clinic at HFSC, Hartford Healthcare hospice, his excellent caregivers, and the love and support of family and friends.
Michael fought an aggressive form of ALS and valued the extraordinary support of ALS United CT.
