Michael Shuris Obituary
Michael A. Shuris, age 61, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away suddenly at Boston Medical Center on June 15, 2025. Born on September 21, 1963, in Boston, Massachusetts, Michael's life was one of dedication, love, and quiet strength. He was the beloved son of the late Anthony and Christine Shuris and a supportive brother to Cheryl Davidson of Quincy, Deborah Shuris of Rhode Island, along with the late Robert Shuris & Mother to his children Sandra Giammarco. Michael's memory will be treasured by his eight nieces and nephews, as well as his loyal German Shepherd, Champ, who was a constant companion by his side.
Raised in the close-knit community of Dorchester, Michael was a product of his neighborhood – resilient, hardworking, and always ready to lend a hand. His formative years were spent at Quincy Vocational Technical High School, where he honed the skills that would define his career. Michael was more than just a mechanic; he was a craftsman who took great pride in his work. For many years, Michael carried on the Tonys cycle tradition as shop owner and master mechanic. There, he not only serviced motorcycles but also played a crucial role in maintaining the fleet for the Massachusetts State Police, working alongside Lieutenant William Cederquist. His exceptional work ethic and expertise earned him the respect and loyalty among all his customers and family members.
Michael's life was marked by the things he loved most: his work, his dog Champ, and the thrill of hockey. An avid Boston Bruins fan, he could often be found cheering on his team, reveling in every play, and sharing the excitement with fellow fans. His sports commentary with friends & family will be deeply missed.
Those who knew Michael best would describe him as handy. He had a gift for fixing things, a skill that extended far beyond motorcycles. This ability was a metaphor for his approach to life; he was always ready to help solve a problem or make a situation better. His hands were rarely still, and his knack for repairing what was broken will be remembered as one of the many ways he showed his love and care for those around him.
Michael's life was one of purpose and joy. He found happiness in the simple things – a well-tuned engine, a game-winning goal, the contented company of his dog and being an involved Uncle with a good ear and direction.
His legacy is one of commitment, passion, and generosity, traits that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
As we say goodbye to Michael A. Shuris, we hold close the memories of his kind spirit, his unwavering reliability, and the quiet comfort he provided to those around him. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his influence will continue to be felt. We celebrate the life of a man who was truly one of a kind and whose memory will be cherished forever.
Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Friday June 27th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be private.

My heartfelt condolences to all who knew and loved Michael. I knew him in high school as "Mo". He was one of my biggest crushes when I was a kid. I never did get the date he promised me though ()! That's always been one of my favorite stories to tell lol! May Mo/Michael rest in the arms of our Lord Jesus forevermore. Fantastic guy to all. Go rest high "Mo"! You will never be forgotten!

I am sorry for loss . Mike was so cool back in the day . He had the best feathered hair ! In our big circle of friends he had the most beautiful Cadillac and I was proud owner of one of the Harley Davidson buckle chain belt ! Rocked it during my (still) Billy Idol days . My photos are still on storage bc my apartment so small I plan on moving when lease up . However I will make trip to share with family photos I have from 1980´s . For his loved ones . Thoughts and prayers

As I begin to write this shocked is still my first feeling.
There are many ways to express who was Michael Shuris.
But what stands out most are the following.
There wasn't anything he couldn't take apart and put back together again.
If you called him and he missed your call like clock work he was calling you back saying did you just call what's up...
If you told him to take care of himself he found that to be a priority he struggled with. But he made sure no matter what it was about yourself for you to take care of it dont ignore it and let him know how it turns out.
The love he had for his nieces and nephews was always just a phone call away, very involved, always there for all of them.
And this is where it's going to hit hard because for each of them there isn't another uncle mike.
There are no final words because each and every niece and nephew will continue to say his name keep his memories fresh and carry his in life advice and knowledge very present.....

Don't even knoe were to begin. You were an amazing uncle ,but i feel like I lost a father figure, many projects and bonding we had togher . Glad I got to spend all the time with you but it will never be enough. You molded me into the person I am today and grateful for all u have done not only for me but for the family. You taught me alot thru the years that I will forever cherish . We had many irreplaceable memories, food fights , knock down fights , cries , laughs thank u for always taking care of me and taking me in as your own and making me be a better person than I used to be before I came out here . Lost for words writing this and want u to knoe I love and miss you and wish I could of express my feelings more. It hurts that both uncles are gone but you both live on forever xoxox
