P.J. Hodges was born on April 11, 1974, and passed away peacefully on July 11, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was a native of New Orleans, LA. P.J. had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. Even when he fell terminally ill, he would still do what he could to help others. P.J. touched so many lives and was a joy to be around. He attended St. Phillip The Apostle and was a graduate of St. Augustine High School c/o 1992. P.J. leaves to cherish his memories with his son P.J. Hodges, Jr., his two sisters; Janice (Darryl) Raiford and Hope (OC) Draughn, aunts: Mercedes (Cornell) Watson, Marcel Mack, Freda Joseph, Delco and Berylynn Gettridge and Equilla Williams, one great aunt Shirley Mae Roberts, god children: Dwan Quinn, Bryce Humble and Talia Horn, and devoted friend Staci Worthman. Preceded in death by his loving mother whom he loved dearly, even in death Helen (Margie) Hodges, loving daughter Kenya Hodges, grandparents Ellen and Robert Gettridge, Sr., aunt's: Marvann, Augustine and Gwendolyn Gettridge, uncles: Jules, Frank, Robert, and Ferdinand Gettridge, Calvin Mack and Sam Joseph. Members of Greater Little Rock, True Vine Missionary Baptist Church, NOPD, Chartwell and Genuine Food Service Chalmette, Tulane, and East Jeff Hospital, G.W. High School c/o 89, St. Augustine High School c/o 1992, and Tulane Multispecialty Clinic are all invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, July 20, 2024, for 11:00 a.m. at Greater Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 10201 Dwyer Rd, New Orleans, LA 70127.
