The family is requesting visitation on Friday January 24, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday January 25, 2025, from 8:00 AM until the time of the service.
Reverend Troy Duhon will be officiating the services.
Interment will follow in the Gueydan Cemetery.
Ray was born on July 11,1935, in Gueydan, La to Sidney Joseph Badon of Kaplan, La and Verdie Pego of Mermentau Cove, La. Ray held a career as an oilfield consultant and retired from the company PEI after 25 years. He enjoyed the hobbies of fishing and gardening. Ray also held a passion for making his own wine.
Ray is survived by his wife, Shelia Clark Badon; his three sons, Terry Badon, Sidney Badon(Penny), Joshua Badon(Jennifer); his one step-son, Jacques Broussard; his one daughter, Sabrina Larive(Glenn); his one brother, Donald Edward Badon; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Joseph Badon and Verdie Pego; one brother, Sidney Dale Badon; one sister in law, Carol Badon.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home GUEYDAN, 514 Second Street, Gueydan LA 70542
