Richard B. Enlow Sr., 71, of Plainfield, passed away Tuesday, February 4th, 2025. He was born August 14th, 1953 in Beech Grove to his parents Orval Jr. and Hiwana Louise (Day) Enlow. He married Brenda S. (Whitaker) Enlow on September 28th, 1979.
Richard is survived by his wife, Brenda S. Enlow of Plainfield; one son, Richard B. Enlow Jr. (Jessica) of Bowling Green, Kentucky; two granddaughters: Zoe and Peyton Cannon; one grandson, Devin Matthew Enlow; and one brother, Orval Robert Enlow (Patty) of Indianapolis. Richard, a proud graduate of Eminence High School in 1971, went on to pursue his education at the University of Evansville and ultimately earned his Master's degree in History from Indiana State University in 1976. Richard was truly a remarkable person, known for his unwavering loyalty to those he loved and his innate ability to make everyone feel seen and accepted. No one was ever a stranger to him; he had a unique way of connecting with others. Richard's dedication to teaching Sunday School reflected his deep faith and love for his community, a testament to the impact he had on so many lives. His memory will undoubtedly be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
