Richard Knudsen Obituary

A lifelong area resident, Rich graduated from Fonda Fultonville High School in 1992. He worked hard all of his life, most recently for Dollar General Distribution Center as a shipping clerk.
Rich served as a fire fighter for Glen Volunteer Fire Department and the Fort Hunter Volunteer Fire Department. His greatest joy was meeting people and driving his mustang. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his father, Richard; and his stepfather, Richard Lais.
Survivors include his mother, Sandra Lais; his stepsister, Patricia Lais (Brenda); and extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 11a.m. with the Rev. Charles Hesselink presiding. Burial will follow in Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville.
Calling hours will be held Monday, November 17, 2025 from 4p.m. until 7p.m. at the Rose & Hughes Funeral Home, 200 Church Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Please visit the online memorial at www.roseandhughesfh.com
