Richard P. Yeomans, 84, of Medway, died peacefully on Monday, September 18, 2023 at The Enclave of Franklin - Senior Living Community. He was the beloved husband of Teresa A. (Cobb) Yeomans who died in 2007.
Born in Boston on June 27, 1939, he was the son of the late David and Edith (Young) Yeomans.
Richard was a resident of Medway for the past 55 years. He grew up in South Boston, graduated from South Boston High School and proudly served in the Army Reserves.
Before his retirement, Richard worked as a draftsman at Raytheon Corporation for over 40 years.
He was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed spending time at the Medway VFW where he was also in Pitch league for many years.
Richard is survived by three sons, Richard Yeomans Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Medway, Keith Yeomans and his wife, Pamela of West Roxbury and Scott Yeomans and his wife, Susan of Bridgewater, and one daughter, Kerry A. Slater and her husband, Sean of Franklin.
He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Alicia, Dustin, Richard, Anna, Natalie, Cassidy, Ryan, Kate, Christina and Devin, two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Logan and many nieces and nephews.
Richard was predeceased by four sisters and two brothers.
His funeral services will take place privately at the request of his family with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Richard's memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
